Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Manager for Distribution Center plays a critical role in ensuring that all warehouse operations are efficient and effective, and that customer orders are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner.

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a warehouse, ensuring the efficient and timely receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. They are responsible for managing a team of warehouse workers and ensuring that all safety and security protocols are followed. The Warehouse Manager for Distribution Center must also ensure that inventory levels are maintained and that all customer orders are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods.
  • Ensure that inventory levels are maintained, and that all customer orders are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage a team of warehouse workers, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
  • Monitor employee performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Ensure that all safety and security protocols are followed, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), regular equipment maintenance, and proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Develop and implement procedures for warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping and receiving.
  • Ensure that all paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate regularly with other departments, including sales, logistics, and customer service, to ensure that all orders are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement of warehouse operations, including the implementation of new technologies and process improvements.
  • Ensure that all warehouse operations are compliant with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, with a focus on distribution center operations.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team of warehouse workers.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to warehouse operations and safety.
