Notable Sustainability Practices

Zero Discharge Facility

We never release production fluids (oils, water, etc.) into the sanitary sewer systems or waterways.

Recycling Comes First

  • Scrap Metals: Recycled responsibly.
  • Wood Scraps: Remade into other products, sold, or used as fuel for energy projects.
  • Metal & Wood Parts: Recyclable after reaching their intended use.
  • Scrap Skids: Sent to remanufacturers for remanufacturer and reuse.
  • Paint Wash Water & Glues: Sent out for recycling.
  • Flammable Waste: Repurposed as fuel for energy projects.
  • Office Materials: Paper, cardboard, printer ink cartridges, and copy toners get recycled.
  • Packaging Materials: Boxes and other packaging are recycled when possible.
  • Aluminum Cans & Plastic Containers: Recycled to minimize waste.
  • Lights: Fluorescent lights, ballasts, and hazardous lamps get recycled.

Green Paint, Clean Air

We use a powder paint system, a non-hazardous and eco-friendly solution. We reuse excess powder paint in paint booths, ensuring maximum efficiency.

Palmer Hamilton is committed to protecting our environment. We comply with all applicable standards, orders, and regulations issued pursuant to the Clean Air Act (42 U.S.C. 7401-7671q) and the Federal Water Pollution Control Act as amended (33 U.S.C. 1251-1387). Any violations are reported to the appropriate Federal awarding agency and the Regional Office of the Environmental Protection Agency.
